Fringe on the Island

Hi sweeties,

Sorry it has been sooo long since my last post! I really have been super busy in trying to arrange everything for my final internship and it seems like it is all coming closer. If everything works out the way I hope, I will definitely be doing a lot more blogging and might even take on something new!

Anyways this time last year I took my mom to Ibiza for her birthday. The weather was so nice and I had such a good time there that I really wanted to write a post about it! The fact that the island is so photogenic helps as well of course. I have been day dreaming about going to Ibiza a lot lately, especially with this horrible weather we have been having here in The Netherlands. My Dutchies will know what I am talking about…

While in Ibiza me & my mom stayed in a nice hotel on Playa D’en Bossa one night, and the other nights we spent in The Hard Rock Hotel, which I would recommend to everyone. It is such a great hotel in so many ways! The food, location, facilities, music and smell haha. Anyways I really hope I can stay there again some time soon!

Besides the great hotel, I am so in love with Ibiza. It is definitely one of my favorite places in the world. It is so beautiful and the atmosphere is great. You have the best parties here, but I mostly go there just to enjoy the island. And I love the way I can dress when I am there. I still have so many Ibiza-outfits ready to go, hanging in my closet. The reason that I can’t wear them here is mostly the weather and the lack of a relaxed island vibe… I hadn’t really had the right opportunity yet to wear this awesome orange H&M fringe skirt that I am wearing in Holland yet, so I was really excited about finally wearing it. Even if that meant that I lost half of the space (and weight) of my only carry on luggage.

The day we shot the pictures it was so hot, crazy for October! But it was so humid, so after walking around the old town of Ibiza, Dalt Villa, my hair got so crazy and curly ( I have natural curly hair).

Hope you guys like it!

Xoxo

A weekend in Barcelona

Hi loves! I am back from my hibernation, or at least that is what it feels like. I have been planning to post something but kept postponing it, and here we are, a few months after my last update. Anyways this time I will REALLY try to post more regularly. I have so much outfits and travel tips that I would love to share. And it is summer YAY! Which means that in one week I will have my freedom back from uni, and that I will have a lot more time to work on my blog and on travelling of course.

Today I want to share some pics from my trip to Barcelona earlier this year. After this trip I have already been back there twice, so I have to hurry up haha. In a previous post I might have mentioned that I have lived in Barcelona for a year a few years ago. So now I still have a lot of my good friends living there, therefor I try to go back whenever I can. Besides my friends I just love the city. It’s so vibrant and it simply has everything that you might need. There is the beach, a great city life, mountains and lots of events and not to forget amaaaaazing food! Most of my tips will probably be about food, since I am such a foodie.

This day I went to one of my all-time favorite burger restaurants called Kiosko! Or Bacao, there are several restaurants located around the city and the names vary. The burgers there are so good, but I also love this place for its selection of fries and home-made sauces. They are simply amazing, and I always end up just eating the sauce when all my food is already gone. All the burgers there are good, but my favorite one is definitely the burger “Japonesa” which comes with a delicious teriyaki sauce. Besides this place, I was introduced to another great Burger restaurant called “Timesburg”. This one has more or less the same concept, but is more spacious and is situated a little bit more outside of the center. Here you will also find more locals than in Kiosko, which attracts quite a lot of tourists lately. I have only been to Timesburg once, but I ordered this divine burger with a mint sauce. Which works great with the hot climate of Barcelona. This burger was a special at the moment, so I hope that they will add it to their menu!

I will post more tips and pics from my trip to Barcelona soon!

Have a lovely week babes!

Brandenburger Tor

Another post about my trip to Berlin earlier this year. This time we shot the pictures in front of the famous Brandenburger Tor and the MBFW tent. These pictures were taken the morning after the amazing STYLIGHT Influencer Awards and after party, so I am not looking my very best.. or even very awake. I was actually hoping for better weather when I picked this outfit haha, but I was just so done with the winter and wanted to change things up a little. I had recently bought this jeans and I didn’t have the time to wear it yet, so I decided to take it with me to the very cold Berlin… But at least I was happy about what I was wearing. =) I love to combine ripped jeans with these studded loafers from Zara (old collection), they just give an edgy feel to the look and then I topped it off with this bright green coat. Hope you guys like it! Xoxo

24 hours in Berlin

A couple of weeks ago I visited the great city Berlin for the SFIA ( which you can see here ). But besides visiting this amazing event I also enjoyed the city and all of its great food and shops. And with that also come some outfits that I would love to share of course. After arriving in Berlin, I checked into my hotel and changed for an afternoon on the town. I was there with my sister and her boyfriend and we strolled around the city and got some sushi of course! It is so cheap in Berlin, especially compared to Dutch prices and the fried rolls are sooo good. Unfortunately the weather was not so nice with rain and grey skies, but it was a lot of fun anyways.

I am wearing my super warm and comfy Sandro Paris coat, which I really love especially with days like these. I have paired it with my favorite Zara loafers. But it was so cold that I just had to wear socks in them haha. Because of course I didn’t pack any warm shoes because I just wanted to wear these babies. In general I was a big fan of layering in Berlin due to the cold weather. Oh and I am also wearing my new & Other Stories Bag for the first time! I had been looking for it for weeks, and I was so happy when I finally got my hands on one! I will post the other outfit soon!

Velvet Dreams

I have finally found the perfect backpack! I am so in love with this velvet babe from Sandro Paris. As you might have seen in my previous post I already have the bomber jacket from the same collection. I don’t know what it is with this special collector’s collection, but I wanted every single peace. And luckily I found the backpack on sale in Antwerp which makes it even better!

I think having a bag like this makes every outfit look more chic. The deep green color and velvet texture give it a very rich feeling to it. If you wear it neutral pieces it is very easy to combine with whatever you choose to wear. It was a cold and grey day in Holland, so I chose to wear my comfy and very warm Zara knitted cardigan and paired it with a leather jacket to make it look less slouchy, I was in a very comfy mood haha so I also wore a statement T-shirt and coated black leggings. But the bag made me feel chic anyways.

Peachy Vibes

Hi lovelies,

For some reason this look never made it onto the blog yet, but I still wanted to share it with you guys! I guess the pictures were taken a couple of months ago in the fall, when the weather was still nice. I really love this dress which I bought on Ebay. I searched for it for quite a long time, and I was so happy when I finally found it! The color is so pretty and looks great in summer. Luckily back then I was still reasonably tanned which makes the dress really look a lot better on. I can’t wait for spring and summer, so I can start wearing dresses and beautiful pastel colors again. This Finders Keepers Rising Sun Peach Shift Dress is very versatile and can be dressed up or down. I am wearing it with white sneakers, my all-time favorite hat and a cosy knit for an afternoon of shopping. But you can definitely dress it up by pairing it with a pair of heels and some nice earrings for example. Heels will give the dress its chic-est style and feeling for a night on the town. I already envision which shoes I would like to wear with this dress, and I will share the look as soon as I get the chance to wear it! The cardigan I am wearing is from H&M and it’s a Mohair blend, so it’s super soft and warm which means it’s perfect for this stormy Dutch winter.

All White

I miss the snow! Especially with the horrible rain here all day. This post is from last week when Holland was still covered in a pretty white blanket. I really love this dress, and I could not wait to wear it. Lately I have been a little obsessed with white tones and basics. And when I saw this one in the shop, I knew that I had to have it. I think wearing nude or white tones in winter is actually super chic and sophisticated. Especially when you combine it with great jewelry. I am wearing a new ring from & Other Stories ( I really love this shop, definitely worth checking it out) and the ring has the most beautiful deep blue-green colors. The other rings are gold, which I love combined with all the white. I am still looking for a white coat and a perfect cream or white sweater to combine it with more light tones. I am going shopping tomorrow so I will keep my fingers crossed…
